About Me

Hi, I’m Leah, the voice and heart behind Fika with Leah™, and the founder of Fika Skön™, Face Yoga with Leah, The Slumber Party Box + Series™, and Consciously Living™.

My journey of reinvention began in 2019 when everything in my life shifted. Personally and professionally, I felt God calling me to release what no longer aligned and step into a new life rooted in faith and purpose. That calling led to a complete transformation: the end of a 19-year marriage, a career shift, and the beginning of a slower, more intentional way of living.

After spending years in the fast-paced corporate world managing over 300 employees and a $17 million budget, I transitioned into a new chapter that allowed me to focus on healing, presence, and purpose. I began teaching college business courses, opened my own skincare boutique, and created meaningful spaces for women to gather, reflect, and reconnect with themselves and one another.

It was during this season of change that I came across the Swedish word "Fika."

In Sweden, Fika isn’t just a coffee break. It is a cherished tradition of pausing, being present, and connecting, often with something warm to sip and someone to share the moment with. It spoke directly to the season I was in and the life I was being led to build.

And as God would have it, Fika (fee-ka) also happens to rhyme with Leah.

That is how Fika with Leah™ was born. It is a personal invitation to pause with me, to take a breath, to sit with your story, and to remember that healing, beauty, and peace are found in the present moment.

I share my story not because it is perfect, but because it is real. If it encourages even one person to trust God and pursue the life He has placed on their heart, then every step has been worth it.

I currently live in Louisiana (for now... who knows what the future holds). I’m a proud mom of two incredible kids. I believe all the glory belongs to God. None of this would be possible without His guidance, grace, and provision. My mission is to live boldly, love freely, and help others follow the path God has laid before them.

What I Do

Everything I create flows from my desire to help others live with intention, integrity, and faith.

College Instructor

In the classroom, I teach business communication, entrepreneurship, and management. I bring real-world experience and a heart for helping students grow both professionally and personally. My goal is to empower the next generation to lead with purpose, clarity, and courage.

Entrepreneur:

As a licensed esthetician, I launched Fika Skön™, a skincare boutique inspired by the Swedish tradition of slowing down to reconnect. Though I no longer offer 1:1 facials, my work continues through curated products, wellness experiences, and community practices like Face Yoga with Leah, which emphasizes beauty, rest, and intentional living from the inside out.

Community Builder:

I created The Slumber Party Series™, a space for women to gather, grow, and encourage one another through meaningful conversation and wellness practices. My work extends to my local community of Livingston Parish, where I volunteer at the Livingston Activity Center, supporting adults with special needs, and serve on the Livingston Industrial Development Board, working to bring sustainable growth and opportunity to our parish.

At its core, it is a growing lifestyle brand rooted in God-centered living, mindful choices, and conscious leadership. Through products, resources, and content, Consciously Living™ helps individuals and organizations live fully aligned with their values and divine purpose, creating impact not only in their own lives but in the world around them.
